It all started when…

I wished to learn to accept, rather than fear change.

That desire lead me to the Great Plains where I recorded nine youths at a transitional stage and sweeping Great Plains skies and horizons.

Standing In The Shadow Of Now is a 31-minute, 22-channel video installation recorded over two years that explores consciousness, time, and the continually changing nature of who we are. It offers the possibility of experiencing, as well as witnessing, consciousness.

The project asks a fundamental question: How might an artwork create an experience, unique to each visitor, in which we become conscious of the present - not simply as a point between past and future, but as the place in which we exist?
